Peter Van Kleef passed away about two weeks ago now. The famous Oakland owner of Cafe Van Kleef was a true friend as much as he was a character. While at The Hive, Steve Lowe, Gary Flaxman, and I shared stories about Peter. Cafe Van Kleef is at 1641 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland, California.
