Tech Intersections Event At Oakland Mills College January 27th 2018 An exciting tech event is slated to be held at Oakland's Mills College, January 27th. Called “Tech Intersections”, its organized by Maira Benjamin, The Director of Engineering, Pandora, Idalin BobĂ©, a technology and social justice activist, Tiffany Price, The Community Engagement Manager for Oakland's Kapor Center for Social Impact, and Ellen Spertus, Professor of Computer Science at Mills College. The objective of Tech Intersections is to provide “a space for the women of color most underrepresented in tech to come together and learn from each other’s successes, challenges, and experiences.” Tickets range from $150 to $15 for students and the unemployed. The keynote speakers are Erica Baker, Senior Engineering Manager for Patreon, and Leah McGowen-Hare, Director and Developer Evangelist, for Salesforce.
