Matt Schaub Released By Oakland Raiders As expected Matt Schaub was released by the Oakland Raiders today. That comes just four days after Christian Ponder was added to the QB rouster. Matt was with the Raiders for just one year and marks the second name QB the Raiders have released for another name QB in as many seasons. Now the Raiders have Derek Carr, Christian Ponder, and Matt McGloin as quarterbacks.
