Bernie Sanders Endorses Hillary Clinton, Angers Many Supporters #DNC2016 Bernie Sanders endorsed Hillary Clinton, but in the process of reaching the Worldwide Twitter trends, tweets revealed that he pissed off a ton of supporters. Many of them perceive Clinton as the establishment and that the Democratic Party has become populated and ran by people who are only concerned about their own interests and are corrupt. So Sanders backing Clinton is, for them, the worst of all possible outcomes. Trouble is, they don't deal with another reality. Many of Bernie Sanders' so called supporters just don't vote. Overall, the rate of involvement of young people in voting has been disappointingly low this year. It seems to me that the giant involvement of young voters during the Obama years may have been an aberration, rather than a permanent pattern. And if that's the case, both Sanders and Clinton are in trouble. If young Democratic voters aren't jazzed about Hilary Clinton, and Sanders has endorsed her and pissed them off, there's a chance they could sit on the sidelines in the fall.
