The Oakland Raiders held a meeting with members of the City of Oakland, the County of Alameda, and the Oakland Alameda County Joint Powers Authority today. The good news is the Raiders are working on their own version of Coliseum City. If you are wondering if that means that Floyd Kephart is out, the answer is that yes, he soon will be. The problem for the Raiders is that there is a $400 million commercial development revenue gap that they are trying to figure out how to fill with their design. If they used my Coliseum City concept, the hotel revenue throw off would be $328 million. Meanwhile Kephart is holding his own public meeting Tuesday, August 25th at Lunomare Restaurant in Oakland at 8:30 am. It's a public presentation for invited guests and ahead of the September 4th Oakland City Council Meeting on Coliseum City.
